Push the little Bonsai and Make It Come Up



We went asian grocery shopping in Chatswood on the weekend and I saw this sign. Apparently they don’t want you to touch the bonsai. I wouldn’t have any problems with this but this isn’t bonsai, it’s a sweet potato that you’ve cut in half and put into tepid water. I’m sure you can recreate this magic with another sweet potato.

I’m also confused by the instructions to watch it grow. How much time do they expect me to spend in their store watching this Bonsai? I have more important things to do like writing about Bonsai plant’s that aren’t really Bonsai.
